For those who don’t know who you are, can you tell us a little about yourself and your background in the Christian faith?
ANSWER: My name is Okafor Favour Mmesoma, I hail from Uga in Anambra state. By His grace, I’m an Evangelist, author, singer and songwriter, and also a member of the Christian Writers Association of Nigeria (CWAN).
What inspired you to write this book and how did you come up with the idea for it?
ANSWER: My love for evangelism inspired me to write this book. Anytime I went out for evangelism I would note down my topics of discussion and that was how this book was birthed. The spirit of God gave me the name “THE WORD”.
What do you hope readers will take away from reading your book?
ANSWER: The greatest treasure is the knowledge about God, His commandment and His word.
How does your book incorporate Christian values and teachings?
ANSWER: “THE WORD” teaches practical Christianity.
What are some of the main themes in your book and how do they relate to the Christian faith?
ANSWER: WE ARE STRANGERS. It reminds us that our stay here on earth is for a while, and we should strive to live a life worthy of eternity.
Can you share a personal story or experience that helped shape the message of your book?
ANSWER: Yes, so many experiences and stories, but the most significant one is when I had a revelation about Eternity.
What role does prayer and spirituality play in your life and how did it influence your writing process?
ANSWER: Praying and living a spirit-filled life draws the Holy Spirit close to you, and like, I said before, the Holy Spirit gave me the idea of this book and inspired my writing.
What advice would you give to someone who is struggling to maintain their faith in today’s world?
ANSWER: Always study the word of God (The Bible) and Christian books, and strive to be with men and women of good spiritual standard. And always pray to God for more strength to uphold the faith.
How do you hope your book will impact readers and what kind of change do you hope to inspire in their lives?
ANSWER: I believe it will change their mindset about God for good and instil the belief that everyone on earth was created for a purpose.
Are there any particular biblical passages or stories that inspired you while writing this book?
ANSWER: Yes. Psalm 119:19 and Matthew 7:16-23, about the tree and its fruit. It reminds me that throughout my stay here on earth I should always bring forth good fruit.
How does your book address the challenges and questions that many people face in their spiritual journey?
ANSWER: There are a lot of challenges Christians face in their spiritual journey, like sin. “THE WORD” pinpoints challenges people face today in their walk with God and how to overcome those challenges and live above sin and all wrongdoings.
